Beth Gloss

Owner
Ms. Gloss came to United Materials in 1990 as a Project Manager under Bill Kugler. She quickly became an essential part of the company first as the Vice President and then as President and Managing Member. Beth sets all policies, manages all business practices, oversees hiring of employees, and serves as Project Manager for United's more difficult projects. She is also in charge of any enforcement in discipline for safety, attendance, and roof quality issues. With 30 years in the business, her experience is unbeatable.

Paul Rouse

Vice President, and Repair Manager
With 30 years of experience and the last three spent as Vice President, Physical Property Manager, Vehicle Operation Manager, and Sales Manager in charge of re-roof, repairs, and new construction bidding is knowledgeable on every aspect of the industry. Paul is also an expert in production operations, DOT truck Requirements, Boom Truck and truck operations as well as scaffolding set up. He has been working for United Materials or a sister company since 1970. As well as assisting in all phases of roofing, Paul also deals with a lot of the training for our employees, helping to maintain United Materials High Standard of Safety in the Roofing Industry.

Pat Leingang

Superintendent, and Project Manager
With 26 years of experience in the roofing industry, Pat Leingang manages all the company field roofing, waterproofing and sheet metal operations. Pat has worked in the field 6 years as a journeyman, a master foreman for 14 years and has been our general superintendent for the last 6 years. He is also a teacher for the Johns Manville BURSI cold applied membrane classes and teaches all of our foreman and crews as to roof systems, job safety, inspection, and roofing manufacturer standards.

Training Programs include:

  • Johns Manville EPDM, BUR, and modified training

  • Tamko BUR, shingle, and modified training

  • Firestone Building Systems Products EPDM, BUR, and modified training

  • Performance Roof System Training

  • CERTA Torch Safety Certified

Dwight Thorson

Finance/Office Manager
Dwight brings 25 years of accounting expertise to United Materials and has combined years of financial management experience in the construction, civil engineering, agriculture, and the automotive industries. He prides himself on and attention to detail that is matched only by a strong sense of timely and thorough communication to his internal and external customer pool. In his desire to enhance the small business culture, Dwight consistently seeks to discover and implement methods that improve his stewardship of company finances. Each day, he also enjoys the family atmosphere and appreciates the pulse of fresh interactions with coworkers and vendors daily.

Linda Baker

Marketing
Entering her 10th year at United Materials, Linda has developed and executed successful business development and marketing strategies for the company. She has been active in the preparation of prequalification packages, directly interfacing with general contractors at pre-bid conferences, and taking on the role of liaison between United Materials and customer stakeholders. Linda’s flexibility and range of abilities have made her an integral part of day-to-day roofing operations, as she keeps her finger on the pulse of United’s internal and external customer deliverables. And with Linda’s love of the Colorado outdoors, she is often found on the golf course in her spare time, or working in her garden.

Mickey Winters

RoofGuard
Mickey joined United Materials in 2010, and is the company’s Financial Manager, and RoofGuard Manager. Her dual roles reflect a 20-year involvement in Finance, and a 22-year commitment to customer service and problem-solving within the commercial roofing, and heavy equipment industries. She holds a degree in Business, and is currently completing courses at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management as part of the Future Executive Institute, in pursuit of her certification in Construction Management. Mickey is dedicated to the smooth operation of United Materials, is a pet lover, chef, and artisan – and prides herself on trying to never have the same day twice.

Mark Forbes

Project Manager and Business Development
Mark rejoins the United team after taking some time away to continue his education and professional growth. After 20 years in construction, facilities management, and project management, he has taken great care to both share and leverage his insight to the benefit of United Materials. While learning varying aspects of the company, Mark has made strong contributions and improvements to practices in the accounting department, as well as roof repair operations, and the Roofguard warranty program. With each passing year, Mark strives to learn in a more in-depth fashion about the roofing industry so that he may continue to cultivate strong leadership skills and an increasingly active role within the company.

Alex Franco

Warehouse/Vehicle Manager
Alex has been with United Materials for 20 years and has seen his responsibilities grow in addition to teaching him about different areas of the company. He has driven United’s dump trucks, worked with the spray rigs and became the central point of inventory and materials management. Like so many members of the company, he has been drawn to the family atmosphere of United’s culture, but takes very seriously the need for meeting deadlines through thorough communication with his teams, tracking thousands of details, and implementing an array of computer and manual systems that keep current projects sufficiently supplied and future projects prepared for timely execution.

Paul Ungerer

Project Manager
Paul brings an impressive 45-year history in the Construction industry. His applied experience has conveyed great benefit to the United Materials over the last 10 years. Paul’s career focus has highlighted Architectural Metal and Roofing, and his responsibilities have entailed taking a project from initial design and analysis of drawings, through the projects conclusion, weaving in such details as pricing, proposal submittals, field supervision, project management & close-out. His deep knowledge of the roofing industry is enhanced by his continuing education in Business & Mathematics, and his hands-on execution of production planning and scheduling, and that of cost estimator. United Materials has given Paul the opportunity to tie-in and round-out his impressive career.

Richard Sealey

Senior Project Manager
Richard has spent over 30 years in the roofing industry, beginning his career on a roof, thoughtfully working his way up through the ranks as Estimator. That position, and Richard's dedication and performance evolved to more responsibility and higher positions within management throughout the industry. Now, Richard is an integral resource at United Materials, with active roles with business development, strategic planning, and long-term sustainability. Richard has also served as president of the Colorado Roofing Association, where his leadership and commitment to the industry is also viewed as a commitment to the community.

Molly Hounsom

Director of Safety
After 18 years with United Materials, Molly has held and excelled at just about every position within the company. It was always her desire to deliver her best effort by learning the company from the inside out. Among her positions, she worked at the reception desk,  accounting, and safety, before assuming the role of Director of Safety. Molly dedicates herself to continuing professional education and safeguards company practices that ensure worker safety and the integrity of the project environment. She continually interfaces with state and federal safety entities and must stay current with laws and regulations designed to promote worker safety. Molly offers her loyalty and trust to her coworkers and enjoys the diverse personalities and situations she encounters throughout the year, and appreciates the family-like atmosphere upon which the company culture has been respected and admired by peers.
